When waste is not properly sorted, there is a higher chance of compostable and recyclable material ending up in the landfill. Non-organic materials like plastic are many times only used once but can take hundreds of years to decompose in landfills. Additionally, due to anaerobic conditions in landfills, organic materials tend to emit methane, which has a global warming potential of 25 times more than carbon dioxide. Directions:
Sort the waste on the conveyor belt by dragging it correctly to either the compost, recycling, or landfill! As the game continues, the conveyor belt will increase in speed and more waste will appear. If you correctly sort the waste your score will increase, but if you don't, your score will decrease. The game ends if your score reaches below zero. Try to get higher than your highest score!
